Clinic Coordinator - PEDS office

Oversees staff responsible for clerical and customer service functions within the Pediatric outpatient clinic. Answers complicated patient care inquiries, oversees appointment scheduling and monitors medical records coding. Contacts insurance providers to verify coverage and benefits. Acts as the point of contact between office staff and the VP of the Medical Group. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Reports to the VP of the Medical Group.
Requires a bachelor's degree and 5 years of supervisory experience in a medical office. May be willing to consider an associate's degree with additional experience. Familiar with reviewing billing, CLIA waived testing, managing physician schedules, supply ordering, hiring and training staff, assessing staff competencies, meeting Meaningful Use and HEDIS measures, and Wellness Visits. Must hold a clinical certification. Experience with Ingenious Med, Allscripts, Athena, and Cerner preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
